Carolyne Saumer

Spirit of 26

Carolyne joined Sweet Adelines in 1984, and is a charter member of Alberta Heartland Chorus.

She lives in Onoway in her historical “Stone House” property.  She is an accomplished cook and her food is amazing! She also volunteers for her local food bank and the humane society.

Carolyne is on the music team and holds the titles of Assistant Director and tenor section leader. This past year Carolyne finished the DCP course and is now a certified director, as well as an associate member of the Regional Education Team.  She does vocal warm-up, voice placement, tape listening, and is a make-up captain. Carolyne is also the tenor in the quartet “Chance”.

In her spare time, she is chair of a committee looking for a new rehearsal hall. She is one busy lady and quite an asset to our chorus.

Carolyne is generous to a fault with her time and her talents. Her dedication to our chorus is tremendous. Her sense of humour and fun brings an extra element to our events. Her beautiful warm smile, fabulous face and wonderful voice are assets at all performances and shows.

We are very pleased to name Carolyne Saumer our 2019 Spirit of 26 Award Nominee.
